Kiosk deals with the eponymous project by Karina Bisch: a sculpture located in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon, in the heart of the Tony Garnier district, which was inaugurated on June 29, 2013. It is a large collage, made up of fragmented takes of emblematic twentieth-century architecture.
Throughout the construction of Kiosk, Karina Bisch populated the palisades surrounding the site with a set of posters designed by the graphic designers of Experimental Jetset, based on original texts by Thomas Clerc.
This publication brings together these eight posters, folded in half and inserted one inside the other, thus composing a 32-page signature, itself inserted between a cover and a central four-page leaflet that presents a visual documentation of the project—from its construction to its inauguration. Each poster is printed double-sided, with two variants of the same composition on each side.
Assembled in this way, the posters are themselves part of a collage, since each half is presented, top to tail, opposite another half of a poster. The inside back and back cover give some information about the project and the eponymous publication that accompanies it.
Publication in French and English (only the texts presenting the project are translated into English; Thomas Clerc’s poems are not translated).
